Well in the era of instant messaging, 4G and Jio-Fi, we all must have used google map for navigating! Wait What, You haven't? How about navigating the path of your Swiggy/ Zomato rider!!
It wouldn’t be wrong to state that google map does seem to have the power of one of the best GPS systems at times even sending signals and notifications upto 20 meters! However, the local chai tapri wale bhaiya would maybe point you straight to Sharma uncle’s house, maybe along with the latest in town gossip (that is if you hault for a cuppa tea).

It has been long debated over which is better: Google Maps or the Chai Tapri wale! I will let you decide that for yourself!
Pros of using Google map:
Known to be pretty accurate
Shows the shortest path
Orientation feature to point towards your destination
Time and distance are approximately represented
Shows traffic congestion
Cons of using Google map:
Accuracy of google map is not always relatable to precision
The shortest route might not always be accessible (ever been out during Durga Puja)
Orientation feature is susceptible to human error
Roads names often change
Stops at 20 meters of the destination

Pros of asking Chai wale bhaiya:
Knows the area around
Helpful
Works even in areas without internet coverage
Would know about potential roadblocks ahead
Cons of asking Chai wale bhaiya:
May not be available at all times
Not always reliable
The difference of accent and language
You may not find one in a desert/ highway

Technically, none of them are 100% credible, however the percentage itself is prone to speculation! So what works best? That might totally depend upon your destination and the availability of network and internet in the area, also the time factor is quite essential as a number of common routes are one way during office hours.
Advice: a blend of Google Map and a little help from the corner chai wale tapri would definitely come to your aid!
