5th April 9 Pm

There are many criticizing the PM's candle light request, this may not cure the disease but it did, (at least for me) bring in a ray of hope, making the night so bright in the gloomy days of lockdown.

So many people like me, some scared, some bored and other curious, got to do something together and smile.

The neighbours bonded together through a single light source in balconies. This activity for sure was a great way to involve and engage the mass, knowing that 'man is a social animals' and bondage with absolutely nothing to do is a very dangerous combination!

"Empty vessel makes most noise" It is difficult to imagine what would happen when thousands of people together lose their sanity staying indoors and being non productive.

yes this day gave so many of us an opportunity to post selfies , make blogs and vlogs and post, keep ourselves going and cheering up at this hour of COVID-19 pandemic.

Yes the money spent on candles and diyas could have been donated for equipment to deal with the pandemic, but it isn't always about the money spent, this time it was about the aesthetic value involved. Again many of us might have lighted the leftover candles from diwali decoration and again a few would have used the mobile flashlights and , or torches.

When it comes to donation it must be noted that PM CARES fund was set up owing to a large number of public request to support the government and donate for COVID-19 emergency.

Yes there were a few who did light up firecrackers, mistaking it for deepawali, but those were outnumbered by the ones staying indoor and doing as requested. There will always be a few who would take the information in an entire different sense but that in no way means the entire population misunderstood. It is upon us to see the glass as half full or as half empty. this again in no way means we are neglecting the negatives, it only means we acknowledge the fact that a few hundreds cannot wash away the efforts of lakhs and thousands.
